Crown Stub Royal Relay Exchange Points

RELAY RULES & EXTRA INFO:

*Relay partners must switch at every exchange point.

*30hr time limit to complete your quest (starts at 2:00pm, must finish by 8:00pm on Sunday)

*If you are allowed a driver or drivers/squires to help manage your quest.

Driver/Squire Duties & Rules:

As a team driver, you will only be allowed to make contact at the exchange points (Exchange Points will be clearly designated by signage). Drivers Do Not go to any of the Aid Stations as we have limited parking availability. The Relay Runners are more than welcome to utilize all the Aid Station ammenities! As a squire, you may be required to help your runners through by verbal motivation, massage or foot maintenance, gear decisions etc….. or maybe just a boot in the rear if needed;) We ask that while you are waiting for your runner at the exchange points, please bring those positive vibes out & feel free to cheer/heckle on the other participants!

*There is plenty of places in Vernonia & Banks as well as some others to fill up on any empty or forgotten ammenities. Or if that runner you are serving gets a special craving;) We will soon be linking some of those small businesses down below.

A couple quick tips:

1) The first 4+ miles are mostly single track trail. Weather conditions can make it technical & very slick. You may want to throw some more asphalt/gravel friendly shoes into your drop bag at Stewarts Gate (Mile 5) & switch out of your Trail Shoes. This may also be useful when you hit Stewarts Gate at mile 94 …switching back into trail shoes for the last portion as much of it is dirt single track.

2) Pack a head lamp in your Drop Bag at Vernonia. You will be required to have a head lamp on your person upon leaving this AS.

Can’t wait to help you all on your Quest!
